Peanut Butter Chewies
Ingredients:
Get a large sauce pan, 1cup of sugar, Karo light corn syrup, creamy peanut butter and 6 cups of Corn Flakes or other crispy corn cereal.
Me and my dad love eating and making delicious treat called Peanut Butter Chewies. They are very crunchy and the creamy peanut butter give its great flavor. It was a Saturday evening,, we have been waiting on this day all week long. It was the only time we could be together all day and eat our favorite treat. When, he woke up, he was grinning from ear to ear. I knew we were both on the same page and had the same thing on our mind.
He requested," Get ready so we can go get the ingredients."
I ran to my room and threw on some clothes. On the way to the store, my dad was just talking about the crunchy goodness of the chewies and how good they were going to be. I just agreed to everything he said. Once we made it to the store.
He said," Grab 2 boxes of Corn Flakes, 3 containers of creamy peanut butter, and I will grab the sugar and Karo light corn syrup."
We met up at register 5, when we grab the things. Once we made it home it was time to make the treats. My dad poured a cup of sugar, corn syrup, and peanut butter on a large sauce pan. He made me stir them together constantly until they mixed perfectly. Once, my arms got tired, he took over and finished the job for me. When, the stirring was done, we had to put the pan on an eye on the stove, until it came to a boil.
We figured it will take a while to boil since we put the eye on 5. So, we played the video game until it got done. My dad would always get mad cause I would beat him every time. I would usually be beating him by 20 at the end of the first quarter, but this time was different, he was beating me for a change. I got nervous, I couldn't let my dad beat me at my own game. Forth quarter came and it was 1 minute and 30 seconds left in the game. I missed both of my free throws to tie the game up. I knew he was about to win. A couple of seconds later I heard the stove start beeping for the treats before the game could end. I was so happy that it was time to finish cooking cause that mean he we wouldn't have time to finish the game.
After, it got done heating, we stirred it constantly and I poured the Corn Flakes in the sauce pan. The cereal will stick together with the peanut butter while he stirred it. I grabbed some tongues and picked the chewies up and laid them on some plastic wrap in a container. My dad closed the container and put it in the refrigerator to cool down the chewies.
While, we waited we decided to play some one on one basketball. This is our usual thing we would do together, because my dad would always talk about how good he use to be. It have been 30 minutes and we were still playing , we were exhausted. I had the ball for the game point. I rose up and took the shot, it went in pure net. I was excited to beat him.
He gasped, " Good game son, now lets go eat these Peanut Butter Chewies."
I grabbed the container out the refrigerator and took the first bite of the chewies. I knew this was going to be a day to remember, I beat my dad in basketball and had a delicious snack. I thought I could probably do this with my son sometime when I have kids. I would always remember this day a good memory for me and my dad.

Have you ever wondered, who should be the breadwinner of the family your mom or dad? Most people saythat the father should be the breadwinner, but I think the mother has that same responsibility. All around women and men are equal.
Women do the samething as men and sometimes better. In the article Women the New Breadwinners it says, "Wives outearn their husbands 28% of the time." Women try to work harder than men to try to come on top, and not be the underdogs. It seem like thats how men act like the women are below them, and they think they are above them with everything they do. "Today, when one spouse works full-time and the other stays home, its the wife who is the sole breadwinner in a record 23% of families. When women need or has to do something for her family, she go out and do it. She doesnt care how long it takes or what she has to do, its going to get done. Basically, women just want to work, so she can provide for her family.
Men and women sometimes share the respondibilities. For example, my friend mom will buy her kids the clothes and school stuff they need and also the car notes. While their dad pays the rent, water, and electricity bill. Thats a good plan to do what they do, because everybody know their role and what they duppose to do. It takes a lot to take care of your responsibilities, but if you stay on them you will do good. My mom is a single mom and she take care of her responsibilities well. She also give us what we need. My mom is basically and independent women. Thats why i think womwn can do whatever men do, because of my mom. She shows how women are stong and can be independent for themselves. Women and men work hard to prove themselves and others that they can succeed at what they do.
In conclusion, women do the samething as men, because "wives outearn their husbands 28% of the time when both work." Men and women can also share their responsiblities.Thats how men and women are equal to each other.
